Welcome to Long Hill Christian Preschool!

Our school was founded in 1973....we're approaching 40 years of ministering and serving children and their families in the community

 The emphasis at LHCP is on socialization, self respect, respect for others and development of the child's confidence in a Christian setting through fun and practical introduction of kindergarten readiness skills.

We offer classes for:

2 1/2 - year olds: 2 mornings per week.  Children must be 2 by March 31st to start school in September.

3 year olds: 2 or 3 mornings per week.  Children must be 3 by October 1st and toilet trained to start school in September.

4 year olds: 4 mornings or extended day 4's  Children must be 4 by October 1st to start school in September.

Kindergarten Enrichment: 2 afternoons per week for children attending the local districts half day Kindergarten programs.

Lunch Bunch and Soccer provide extended hours.

At LHCP, our class sizes are small, with a very good teacher-to-child ratio.  We believe children learn best through play.  Our students create, laugh, read stories, and sing songs.  Our classes focus on themes ranging from community helpers, animals, insects, transportation, multi-culture, seasons, Bible stories, and Holidays.  Interwoven throught or curriculum are the principles that "God loves me" and "I am special."

Some of the activities our program includes are: Show-n-Tell days, parent share days, silly hat day, teddy bear day, circus fun, international day, and field trips.  We have visits from the Chatham Fire Dept, Chatham Police Dept., Dentist, and a Traveling Farm throughout the year.  In the Fall, we have a Harvest Party, in the Winter, a Christmas Concert.  In the Spring, we have n "Art Show," displaying a sampling of the children's work, and at the end of the year, we have Water Fun Days.  We also have a gym for those cold, snowy, and rainy days.  Our goal is to provide an intimate, friendly atmosphere in which the children bloom to their full potential.
